Charles J Sharp writes about a tour with us – customer’s report
Here is a short report and comment from Charles J Sharp who has been on a private tour with us earlier this spring.
Charles is a renowned wikipedia contributor. You can actually see some of his photographs taken on our tour already published at wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_bison
I’m an enthusiastic amateur wildlife portrait photographer. The bison was missing from my collection and I chose Wild Poland to help me find it. April is not ideal weather in Eastern Poland, but when the sun comes out, the light is great. Lukasz knows where to go and how to approach wildlife in and around the Białowieża Forest without stressing the animals or endangering the photographer. The bison is Europe’s heaviest mammal and you don’t want to get too close to the males or the females with their calves. We also searched for elk foraging in the marshes of Biebrzański Park Narodowy. There is quite a lot of walking but it is worth it in the end. The flooded landscape also offers opportunities to have a stunning backdrop for shots of flying birds. Many thanks to Lukasz.
