Michał Polakowski – Michael
Michael is an esteemed ornithologist with over 25 years of experience in bird studies; also an experienced bird ringer. At Wild Poland he is guiding our birdwatching trips in the Biebrza Marshes and Białowieża Forest but his expertise is much broader and includes mammals and wild flowers as well.
He has written over 60 enviromental reports and over 50 scientific publications regarding birds of NE Poland. He is now a PhD student at the Technical University of Białystok investigating Geese migration in the Biebrza Marshes.
He travels a lot, often through his favourite Scandinavia, enjoys nature photography and plays basketball in the free time.
